Satyanarayan Vrat on Poornima in year 2014
The Satyanarayana Puja and Vrat is usually perform on the Full Moon day (Purnima) of every month. It is also done on special occasions and during times of achievements as an offering of gratitude to the Lord Vishnu. Sri Satyanarayana puja is a very popular ritual in all over India and World in Hindu families or followers. Some states and community people perform this pooja in different way and purpose but they all devoted towards shrimannarayan, an incarnation of Lord Vishnu. In this puja we starts by a prayer to Lord Ganesha,by chanting some Mantra and arati of shri Ganesh and offer flowers and food like modak laddoo with sugar to remove all obstacles that may occur as a result of incorrectly Shri Satyanarayanjiperforming the puja. Then we prayer to the Navagraha’s – the nine important celestial beings in the universe. Now we worship to Satyanarayana, an extremely an incarnation of Lord Vishnu. First we offer panchamritam and Gangajal to bath or used to clean the deity and then we place on Ashan. After placing the deity in the correct Ashan, shri Satyanarayan we worship Lord Vishnu with chanting mantra and arati and then we offer flower’s petals and food or bhog like panjiri (a mixure of atta and sugar) with panchamrit(mixture of milk, honey, ghee/butter, yogurt, sugar). After complete the pooja of Lord Vishnu then we read or heard Vrat katha of Shri Satyanarayan swami or a story involves the origin of the puja, the benefits of it, and the potential mishaps that may occur with the forgetting performance of the puja. Then we should be prayer and arati to Lord Vishnu and revolving or parikrimma to Lord Vishnu murti or mandir. After the pooja is complete observers of the pooja are required to distribute Prasad of lord Vishnu or Satyanarayanji in participant and followers.
