Bhairavi :
The cult of the mother goddess rose to prominence during the Puranic times . There was Bhairvia cult of the Matrikas , the Great Mother, who were in early myths the female emanations of male gods who then grew to assume independent personalities . Bhairavi is one of these saptamatrikas and is the consort of Lord Shiva. Sati-Parvati- Uma is the benign wife -mother-provider aspect of the Devi. Kali is one of the three who represents the darker aspect o f the Devi and is present in cremation grounds as Bhairavi , the terrible . She is a warrior goddess who was created through the divine emanation of the gods and was the shakti or primal energy of the gods and only appeared when there was a need for a goddess of war . Bhairavi stands for terrible, fearful and the power of death . Her head garlanded with flowers, she resembles the red rays of 1 , 000 rising suns, smeared with red, holding milk and a book . She dispels fears and gives boons with her four hands . She has three large eyes, a beautiful face with a slow smile, and wears white gems . This reflects the gentle aspect of Parvati. She has facets that assert her cosmic importance but she is primarily associated with destructive energy .

    Appreciate it!
