Agastya :
Agast-rishi
Agastya is the reputed author of several hymns in the Rig- Veda and a very celebrated personage . The Puranas  represent him as being the son of Pulastya , the sage from whom the Rakshasas sprang . Agastya is derived from a forced etymology in a fable, which represents him as having commanded the Vindhya Mountains to prostrate before him . Hence he is also called Vindhya Kuta. He is one of the writers of the Brahma Purana and also a writer on
medicine . He holds a distinguished place in the Ramayana , where he dwelt in a hermitage on Mount Kunjara as chief of the hermits of the south . He extended kindness to Lord Rama in exile and went on to become his friend, advisor and protector . He is also said to have gifted the bow of  Vishnu to Rama . He is also considered the first teacher of science and literature to the primitive Dravidian tribes . Hence they venerate him .

  2. When I first saw this title Smartastroguru Agastya rishi | Smartastroguru on google I just whent and bookmark it. Hands down, Apple’s app store wins by a mile. It’s a huge selection of all sorts of apps vs a rather sad selection of a handful for Zune. Microsoft has plans, especially in the realm of games, but I’m not sure I’d want to bet on the future if this aspect is important to you. The iPod is a much better choice in that case.

  3. Wohh exactly what I was looking for, thanks for putting up. “The only way of knowing a person is to love them without hope.” by Walter Benjamin.
