Agastya :
Agast-rishi
Agastya is the reputed author of several hymns in the Rig- Veda and a very celebrated personage . The Puranas  represent him as being the son of Pulastya , the sage from whom the Rakshasas sprang . Agastya is derived from a forced etymology in a fable, which represents him as having commanded the Vindhya Mountains to prostrate before him . Hence he is also called Vindhya Kuta. He is one of the writers of the Brahma Purana and also a writer on
medicine . He holds a distinguished place in the Ramayana , where he dwelt in a hermitage on Mount Kunjara as chief of the hermits of the south . He extended kindness to Lord Rama in exile and went on to become his friend, advisor and protector . He is also said to have gifted the bow of  Vishnu to Rama . He is also considered the first teacher of science and literature to the primitive Dravidian tribes . Hence they venerate him .

  1. I have got one idea for your site. It looks like there are a few cascading stylesheet troubles when launching a number of web pages in google chrome and opera. It is running fine in internet explorer. Possibly you can double check that.

  2. I Am Going To have to come back again when my course load lets up – nonetheless I am getting your Feed so i could go through your web blog offline. Cheers.

  3. I had been wondering if you ever thought of replacing the design of your blog? It is well written; I enjoy what youve got to state. But maybe you could create a a bit more in the way of content so people can connect to it better. You have got a great deal of text for only having one or two images. Maybe you could space it out better?

  4. I experimented with looking at your blog with my ipod touch and the layout doesnt seem to be right. Might wanna check it out on WAP as well as it seems most mobile phone layouts are not really working with your web page.
