Ram :
Rama was the seventh avatar of Vishnu, and the hero of the epic Ramayana . He was considered the perfect hero warrior . Lord Rama is one of the most commonly adored gods of Hindus and is known as an ideal man . He was the eldest son of Dasaratha , a king of the solar dynasty reigning at Ayodhya. He made his appearance in the world at the end of the Treta yuga . He was married to Sita and had two sons . They were Lava and Kusa . He is the embodiment of dharma, the inspiring symbol of goodness and duty . He was a valiant warrior, a benevolent king, epitome of honor and duty as a son, brother and husband . In other words he was the ideal human being . He was born at a time when evil was on the rise on earth . Ravana , the demon king had attained the boon of invincibility from Brahma by performing severe penance and was thus a menace for the gods and the sages . When the gods appealed to Vishnu for deliverance, he reincarnated himself as Rama , son of the childless king Dasharatha . He married Sita , the daughter of Janaka . Due to his step mother Kaikeyi ‘ s insistence, he was exiled to the forest for 14 years with his wife and brother . His wife was abducted by Ravana , king of Lanka and finally rescued by Rama after destroying Lanka and killing Ravana , all with the help of Hanuman , a monkey god and his troop of faithful monkeys . On his return he was crowned King of Ayodhya and it is said that this was one of the best and most peaceful and prosperous periods in history . But Rama , the perfect person also erred when he following the rumors of his people, cast suspicion on his wife’ s sanctity after her return from Lanka and sent the pregnant Sita to a sage’ s hermitage, where she gave birth to twin sons of Rama called Luva and Kusa .
He is always shown as holding a bow and arrow indicating his readiness to destroy evils . More commonly he is pictured in a family style, with his wife Sita , brother Lakshman and devotee Hanuman who is sitting near his feet . The Ram is known some more other names as  Raghuvira, Raghupati, Raghunandana, Sita- priya .
